From what my parents have told me.. When you have a child, your whole view on the world changes and all you want is the best for that child. If I really think about it I can understand where they’re coming from. You just never want that baby to grow up. As a parent u have to decide between the repulsive lifestyle of public school, or the preppy stuck up kids of the catholic school system. My parents chose to send me to catholic school..and I’ve been there ever since.
A person who doesn’t know much about catholic school might think it’s one of the best choices to keep your kid in a good environment. And don’t get me wrong..it is a little better than having your kid exposed to the public school lifestyle. But at the same time, its not all its cracked up to be.. Like I said before..catholic school is filled with preppy stuck up kids who aren’t the best influences for your kids. Majority of the families at the school are rich and their kids tend to look down on the average middle class working families. It isn’t exactly fair, but I guess that’s something that can’t really be changed. Aside from being stuck up, the kids at the schools still make the bad choices parents tried to avoid no matter how sheltered they were from the negative things in the world.
When you think of catholic school..I’m sure the last thing that you think of is money. To the school staff, money is the first thing that comes to mind. You would think that because the school is religious that they would have sympathy and be understanding of the families that have to struggle to keep their kids in the school..But they aren’t concerned of your financial situation at all. Since I have been in catholic school, money is the number one issue.
Even though I disagree with the catholic school system..I will say that academically wise.. they are great schools. Kids may not like it because the schools tend to be more demanding with their grades. But in the long run..being forced to learn certain things probably will come in handy.
This isn’t bashing anybody who watches or likes the show, it’s just my opinion on it. If you don’t like it, don’t read it (:
So as I’m sitting here in a cooped up apartment doing absolutely nothing with my time. I decided to blog. As of right now, it’s raining and windy in the “Sunshine State” How lovely. It’s fall now right? Well, here you would never be able to tell.. you know since its about 90 degrees all year round. You barely see the change of season and when you do, just when you start to enjoy it, it goes right back to hot. Ever since I was little, New York has always been the best place to me. It’s what I would call home. You know you really belong somewhere when it actually pains you to leave that place. And shit, does it pain me to leave the big apple. The people, the music, the environment, the buildings, the food, everything about it. I don’t see how anyone could hate it. It’s like a whole other world in that small city. To see the leaves changing colors on the trees and soon falling and actually FEELING the change in season, kinda gives me a sense of joy. Most people feel at ease and relaxed looking at palm trees… not me. They make me sick actually. But hey, I guess thats just me right?
